Ministry of Sound have put together an excellent documentary on the history and birth of Punjabi Garage.

Today, Punjabi Garage is well and truly on the map with DJs like Yung Singh selling out prestigious venues. But most of us are unaware that this scene began up in Bradford, Yorkshire in wedding halls. The pioneers of the sound like Metz n’ Trickz took Bhangra and revolutionised an already popular sound into a new style that spoke to generations of young British Asians and has only grown in popularity.
