Printworks, London closed it doors recently with a farewell event but is it over for the club? Broadwick live doesn’t think so, announcing plans to reopen within the next 3 years.

While the news of another club closure may ring alarm bells in the post lockdown era, this is a maintenance closure. The printing press turned prestige dance music club is in fact, closing for upgrades. Disappointing as this is for fans, it does mean good things in the future.

As clubbers count down the days and months for Printworks to reopen, they can look forward to the promised improvements which include superior sound and lighting.

Other venues and promoters have an opportunity to fill the gap and they no doubt will. This is a temporary loss to the London night economy but there will be plenty of places to see your favourite DJs play in the meantime.

Over the years, Printworks has played host to legendary DJ sets, here’s Bicep from back in 2018 to keep you going while you wait for more of the same but better in 3 years time
