De La Soul’s classic single ‘The Magic Number’ has been made available on streaming platforms for the first time.

The debut of the track on streaming services coincides with the release today (13th January) of the track on 7″ vinyl, cassingle and digital download via De La Soul’s website.

‘The Magic Number’ originally appeared on the trio’s 1989 debut album ‘3 Feet High And Rising’, which is also coming to streaming platforms, along with the group’s full back catalogue, on 3rd March.

The group confirmed earlier this week that their back catalogue was coming to streaming services for the first time, and also revealed plans for a ‘3 Feet High And Rising’ vinyl reissue. A limited edition green vinyl edition, with a comic book insert, will be available exclusively via Rough Trade too.

DSL are responsible for some of the biggest Rap songs of the 90s such as ‘A roller skating jam named Saturday.’ They were a prominent part of what is referred to as the ‘Daisy Age’ of Hip Hop and continue to make music to this day. You can stream ‘The Magic Number’ below.
