Pioneer DJ Official bio:

Pioneer entered the DJ industry in 1994, with the launch of the world’s first flat-top DJ player, the CDJ-500. Since then, we have devoted ourselves to developing products that deliver world-firsts together with enjoyment beyond our customers’ expectations.

After 20 years in the business, we are entering an exciting new phase, re-launching as Pioneer DJ Corporation, with backing from the world-leading KKR investment fund.

Over the past two decades, DJs have shifted from using vinyl to CDs, and from CDs to music files such as MP3. Now the use of cloud storage and the growing popularity of EDM (Electronic Dance Music), sees industry arrive at its fourth wave. The birth of Pioneer DJ in such an era of change represents an unparalleled opportunity.

Our whole purpose is to understand and predict the future needs of DJs, clubs and the dance music community, and deliver products and services that enable, excite and provide total enjoyment. As an ‘entertainment creation company’, our wish is to provide many moments of great pleasure and exhilaration to all people who enjoy dance music.

We want to keep Pioneer DJ firmly at the center of the dance music culture: enabling DJs make audiences of thousands go wild, men and women to meet and enjoy memorable nights, and those precious moments spent mixing music at home.

I was very nervous before starting, especially as I have no music background but the guys put me at ease straight away and my tutor Alex was fantastic and went through everything slowly and was happy to repeat sections to make sure I had grasped all the tools. I chose "On the Rise" DJ course because of the guys that are the tutors, Mr Jay Cunningham and Mr Terry Hooligan Ryan. My 8 week course was great fun very relaxed atmosphere but serious business was taught. I learnt more that I expected and was extremely pleased with all that was on offer. I've come away with a real understanding of what it all means to get it right on various equipment. The 8 week course is perfect and is worth every penny if you listen to the tutors. I didn't know much about my Apple Mac-pro until I took it in to the class, but now I'm able to teach others how to correctly use iTunes music crates and Rekordbox and well as Serato.
