Femme owned and Queer led indie venue Algha has been hit by increased rents, event cancellations and rising business rates. In urgent need of financial support, a fundraising campaign has launched with a target of £20,000 to avoid being shut down in the next two months.
To coincide with this campaign, a live event will take place at Algha, located in Fish Island, Hackney Wick this Saturday 23rd May 2-11pm. Live sets on the day will be performed by Nina Pixina ft. Bones Tan Jones, with DJ sets from LO-LOW b2b THEMPRESS, Melati b2b TSUNIMAN, and TEDESCO b2b Twang plus dance and movement performances by KEILAN and Alison Facun & Ella Mitchelle, including an installation from set and spatial design artist Julia Dias.
