You know how it is, a typical day looking for some interesting content, and the algorithm threw up something pretty wholesome today. A clip from a podcast called 101 Part Time Jobs with Giles Bidder where former Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn is being interviewed.
Despite being an elderly gentleman, Mr Corbyn is well known for breaking the stereotypes you might associate with the elderly. In the YouTube video, which you can watch here, Jeremy answers a question about his thoughts on electronic music:
How can music be electronic? Music is an instrument. How can you get music just messing about with electronic sounds? Well, you get the most amazing electronic music. Music is a marriage of ideas and technology. Never forget that. The technology of a guitar didn’t come from nowhere. The technology of a drum didn’t come from nowhere. The technology of an acoustic guitar, of an electric guitar. and so on. So I think we just have to keep our minds open. So the next piece of totally different music that comes along, I’m going to be there listening to it and saying, wow, that’s good. It keeps your mind alive.
