A strong weekend for London. Here’s what’s on and why it’s worth your attention.
Fool’s Paradise: Fabric, Saturday 18th April, 2pm–10pm

A daytime party at Fabric with a lineup that reads like a who’s who of house and garage royalty. Todd Terry is the special guest, which alone would be enough to justify showing up. Add Norman Jay MBE and Grant Nelson into the mix across three rooms covering disco and house, and you’ve got a Saturday afternoon well spent. Running 2pm to 10pm, this one’s for the heads who like their weekends to start early.
London Reggae & Food Festival: Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Saturday 18th April, 2pm–10pm

Over at Riverside East in the Olympic Park, Saxon Sound and Rampage Sound headline a free entry festival that also features DJ Larni and Izzy Bossy. Outdoor terrace, indoor arena, Caribbean street food and rum punch. Free tickets are available through Resident Advisor, so there’s no excuse not to at least check it out.
NTS 15: Avalon Cafe / Ormside Projects / Venue M.O.T., Saturday 18th April

NTS celebrate their 15th birthday across three East London venues with a characteristically eclectic lineup. Tim Reaper and Saxon Sound both appear alongside a broad spread of selectors including DJ Travella, Moxie, Shy One and Veronica Vasicka. The kind of event where you can drift between rooms and genres and find something unexpected at every turn.
Tropical Waste x 160 Unity x Bumpah: Fold, Sunday 19th April, 4pm–Midnight

Round out the weekend on Sunday at Fold, where Tropical Waste, 160 Unity and Bumpah join forces for an afternoon and evening of jungle and drum and bass. Mantra b2b Tim Reaper is the standout pairing, with Heavee, Big Dope P, Thempress and others filling out a lineup that should make short work of a Sunday. Doors at 4pm, through to midnight.
Tickets for all events via Resident Advisor.
