The Mixmag ‘cover mixes’ have been a staple since the late 90s when they first appeared as CDs taped to the cover of each new magazine. This Nightmares On Wax is pretty special. In his own words
I wanted to do a mix for Mixmag you wouldn’t usually get going through soul, funk, reggae, disco, R&B and house.
This is not your average mix. The transitions are velvet smooth with layered vocals over instrumentals. Its a joy to hear the vocals of Marvin Gaye layered over Bob Marley’s ‘Waiting In Vain’ along with all the special blends featuring the likes of The Fun Sound Orchestra, MF Robots, Moodymanc and Secret Soul Society in the mix.
