2022 is almost in the history books. As we bid farewell to another tumultuous year, we look back at some of our favourite blogs.

The year began with two new Pioneer DJ controllers. For perhaps the first time, a manifesto was drafted for better disabled access to clubs. A ‘build your own’ DJ controller was released on the market and, if you were lucky, you could have owned a 50th anniversary limited edition Technics SL 1200.

Pioneer launched a new battle mixer and two more DJ controllers while Serato launched Stems mixing capabilities for their DJ Pro software.

This year was also marked by the sad news of a number of important figures in the global DJ and club scene passing away including Skibadee and Stu Allan.

In summary, like most years, 2022 had it’s highs and lows. Honourable mentions go to Eliza Rose and Interplanetary Criminal for getting a UK no 1 with ‘BOTA.’ We also welcome the greater inclusion for people of colour and the LGBTQ+ community and hope it continues into 2023.
