It’s hard to believe that it’s been 50 years since the the launch of the industry standard DJ turntable, the SL-1200. Technics will mark this milestone with a limited edition SL-1200M71.
The SL-1200M7 is built around the 2019 MK7 turntable coming in 7 different colours with a badge and engraved serial number made specially for the 50th anniversary of the iconic turntable. Buyers also get a limited edition slipmat with gold Technics logo.
12,000 units will be made available costing something in the region of £900. A celebratory global live stream event will be held on Boiler Room TV 2pm GMT today featuring DJs including the UKs Giles Peterson and Mala.
