Dan Donnelly’s Suburban Base label releases two huge albums on digital platforms Krome & Time ‘Anthology’ and Boogie Times Records The Album.

With the surge of interest in 90s Hardcore and Jungle showing no sign of slowing down, there couldn’t be a better time to introduce two huge albums from one of the foundational labels in Hardcore, Jungle and DnB.

Krome & Time ‘Anthology’

Most will know this production duo for the raucous Ragga Jungle classic ‘The License’ but their discography stretches right back to the early 90s with tunes like ‘Fireball’, ‘The Slammer’ and ‘Unity’ (a track that is heavily sampled in DJ Luck & MC Neat’s ‘A Little bit of Luck’). The duo produced under various aliases like Kromozone and Higher Level and received plays from numerous DJs across the spectrum of today’s Jungle and Drum and Bass scene.

The album collects some of the biggest Krome & Time tunes plus unreleased VIP versions, classic remixes, B-Sides and lesser known material. Not a single filler tune here, all certified weapons!

Boogie Times Records The Album

Boogie Times was the record store run by Dan  Donnelly that became the precursor label to Suburban Base. The label released a mixture of official releases and DJ Promos. Interestingly, according to Discogs listings, the promos included Son’Z of a Loop Da’ Loop Era’s ‘Far Out’ which went on to be released on Suburban Base and enter the UK top 40.

The album features 16 tracks, some well known and some hidden gems such as Q-Bass ‘The Unamed Amen’ and Phuture Assassin’s ‘I Like Techno’, a fun early Hardcore track that uses the ‘Speak and Spell’ robot toy voice as used in ‘LFO’ by LFO.

Both albums are available on all good download stores and streaming sites.
