Mix of the Week-Tasso Tech Trance Classics – System Damage Leicester

Our mix of the week revisits the sound of Tech Trance via a juggernaut set by Tasso!

Trance gets a rough deal but it was hugely popular at it’s peak, filling out events like Gatecrasher in Birmingham and packing out the Cream festival among others. Tech Trance is exactly as it sounds ie Trance melodies with the kickdrums of pounding Techno, a sound championed by the late Tony De Vit. Tech trance produced some genuine bangers in it’s heyday, one of them is in this mix (Signum ‘What Ya Got 4 Me’)

It could be argued that a lot of the current Beatport topping Techno is actually Tech Trance in an updated form but the bangers are the bangers and this mix by Tasso- a live set recorded from the Trance event, Damage, held at a Leicester venue on the 2nd July is all about those tried and tested tunes!
