Mix of the Week: Kutkh Jackdaw

Mix of the week goes to Kutkh Jackdaw with an open format mix. Here’s what the soundcloud blurb tells us about him:

Kutkh Jackdaw is a Scottish producer and DJ, now based in Brighton, whose productions and mixes take influence from a wide variety of different genres, from post-punk and EBM, to synth, industrial and techno. He uses a range of techniques including a heavy use of inventive sampling, combined with extensive use of vintage 80’s hardware. Kutkh Jackdaw’s ‘Sweat & Thunder EP’ was released on Dark Disco, and featured remixes from Chrome Corpse, Notausgang, Evil Dust and SHPSHFT. He has also had tracks released on Of Dolls & Murder, Sonidos Subterraneos, and Lunacy. Expect new music soon on N.I.M as well as a new EP later this year. His mix for Sonidos Subterraneos is an eclectic journey through electro, dubstep, goth rap, hard techno and trance.

What do we like about this mix? The blends are great and the tune selection keeps it lively with Electro, Dubstep, Techno and Bass music giving the set a journey feel.
