Our mix of the week is a set by kāmna, taken from Yung Singh’s Rinse FM show. A heat packed mix of percussive bangers with a South Asian vibe!

A blog post from Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s Triple J station tells us a bit more about kāmna.

kāmna is a DJ based in Naarm (Melbourne) living and making mixes on Wurundjeri country. Focused on using her mixes and sets to showcase the bridges between her cultural heritage and her love for the club scene, kāmna’s selections can range from Indian classical music, Bollywood, Qawali to UKG, drum n bass and hard drum.

kāmna is a part of Kerfew, a creative collective of South Asian musicians, designers and broadcasters (together, artists) in so-called Australia who use art as a vehicle to explore, reimagine and celebrate the cultures and stories that are shaped by the uniquely Australian South Asian diaspora experience.

Once again, no tracklist unfortunately but that’s OK, we can focus our attention on this absolutely banging mix and enjoy it with or without IDs!
