Our 8 week learn to DJ course is perfect for total beginners looking to get started as well as new DJ’s who want to push themselves in the right direction.

The part time course is spread over 8 weekly sessions each lasting 3 hours and will cover all the basics and fundamentals of DJing to get you started on the right track.  We’ll cover everything from beat matching on vinyl to using controllers as well as talks on the theory side of music and DJing. The courses is limited to only 6 students to keep up the quality time with tutors.

LEARNING TO DJ

By breaking the whole mixing process down into easy to follow stages you and your fellow students will soon not only understand what makes a good mix, but will (with our help, guidance and a little practice) soon be able to beat match and mix your favourite tunes seamlessly.

During the course you’ll learn about all the different ways of mixing on CDJs, Vinyl and Digital across various platforms. You’ll learn different types of equipment to see how they work, how to use it correctly plus, you’ll learn the right way to set up and use a sound system and how to get the best out of it without blowing speakers and more importantly without damaging your ears.

PROMOTE YOURSELF

During the course you’ll learn how to promote yourself effectively. How to get work and how to stay ahead of the competition. You’ll learn how structure your sets for maximum effect, plus how to produce, share and upload your promo mixes.

Whilst perfecting you’re mixing skills we’ll also teach you the inside secrets of how industry works. You’ll learn what nightclub managers and promoters are really looking for in a DJ, plus how to elevate yourself above the competition.
