Many issues were covered from navigating the post Covid world to the need for greater diversity. BMC have made some of those talks and DJ sets available to stream on their You Tube channel for the next 6 months.Among the panel discussions was a talk on curating your career path moderated by Firas (Waze & Odyssey) with round table discussion featuring SUAT, Darius Syrossian, Fleur Shore and Rich NxT. It’s an insightful chat that covers both music production and DJing. Fleur Shore, a Birmingham based DJ shares an anecdote about warming up for Tom Shorterz in a small club in Tamworth and how that led to Tom booking her for his own events. This led to Fleur appearing on the same line up as Hannah Wants.Darius Syrossian advises DJs to focus on social media the right way by using it as a medium to share creativity rather than trying to be an Instagram influencer. Rich NXy advises turning up to events and networking in an organic manner with promoters, Djs and label owners. There’s plenty of takeaways from this 45min talk for upcoming DJs who want to advance their careers. You can listen to it and other talks from the BMC here.Share this:Click to email this to a friend (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)RelatedIF YOU LIKE WHAT YOU'VE READ HERE AND WOULD LIKE TO GET MORE THEN WHY NOT SIGN UP TO OUR NEWSLETTER FOR MORE INFO AND SPECIAL OFFERS!* indicates required
