Advanced Digital DJ course – 4 week course

May – 2nd, 9th, 16th
If you have been on one of our beginners group courses, or even a 1on1 course, then this is the next step for you.This is the course that will take your skills up a level and unlock the next level of DJ’ing.
Some of the topics covered
– Mixing with your ears
– Advanced EQ & FX
– Creative mixing with loops
– Transitioning between genres & BPM’s
– Using acapellas

Vinyl course (Beginners to Intermediate)– 4 week course
4-6pm
April – 26th
May – 3rd, 10th, 17th
This shorter, focused and more affordable courses is designed to be the perfect intro the foundational skill set of DJ’ing. If you’re already playing out, or you’re looking to have more fun with your hobby, the vinyl course is a brilliant way to up your game or your enjoyment of the culture of DJ’ing.
Some of the topics covered.
You will learn…
– How to use your ears to mix & using headphones
– Tempo matching techniques from beginners to advanced
– Riding the pitch and the platter
– Cue’ing techniques
– Deep diving on phrasing and phrase mixing without the visuals or analysed BPM
– using a DVS system along with traditional vinyl

Scratching Course (Beginners to Intermediate) – 4 week course
6.30-8.30pm
April – 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd
On the scratching course you will use turntables with traditional vinyl, DVS and Phase DJ
You will learn…
– The basics of setting up your equipment to start scratching
– Using the cross fader to scratch and learning how to sync your hands together
– Core scratch techniques like the Baby, Transform, Drags, chirps and release scratches.
– Incorporating scratching into your sets and the best sounds to use
– Beginners beat Juggling
– Creative mixing using scratch techniques.
– How to develop an effective practice regime to develop your speed and flow.
