Capturing the Soul of Vinyl Collecting: Dust & Grooves Volume 2 Arrives

A decade after the impactful release of its first edition, the second volume of Dust & Grooves: Further Adventures in Record Collecting is set for release on November 8. This new edition dives deeper into the global phenomenon of vinyl record collecting.

With over 150 collectors from around the world featured, this photobook offers a rare glimpse into the personal spaces and record collections of renowned DJs and everyday vinyl enthusiasts alike.

Among the notable figures captured by Eilon Paz in this edition are Four Tet, Floating Points, Questlove, A-Trak, DJ Spinna, Nabihah Iqbal, Quantic, Dâm-FunK, Colleen ‘Cosmo’ Murphy, and members of John Peel’s family.

Elsewhere in the book, filmmaker Don Letts shares how much of his musical inspiration came from his parents, who were part of the Windrush generation. He reflects on how they brought their hopes, dreams, and cherished record collections to the UK.

Five years in the making, this second volume of Dust & Grooves follows the path set by its popular 2014 predecessor, delving deeper into the minds, collections, and motivations of vinyl lovers from across the globe, from Tokyo to São Paulo.

This release comes at a time when vinyl record collecting is seeing a global resurgence, with UK sales reaching record highs.

The highly anticipated photobook includes a foreword by influential hip-hop producer Prince Paul, known for his work with De La Soul, and spans 325 pages.
