Bridges for Music ADE Cycle Ride 2025

Each year, artists, industry professionals and music fans cycle from London to Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) to raise funds for creative education projects in South Africa. Over time, this has become a regular tradition, with past participants including Richie Hawtin, Joris Voorn, Chris Liebing, Pan-Pot and Parallelle.

The initiative supports the Bridges Academy in Langa, Cape Town, which provides music and creative training for young people. This year, funds raised will also contribute to a new facility for younger children and the expansion of an after-school programme.

The 2025 Ride

This year’s event will see riders joined by artists such as Mark Knight, Maps Maponyane, Goldfish, Msaki and Eli & Fur.

The package includes:

.A new shorter route option

.Pace groups for all fitness levels

.Guidance from professional cyclists and Olympians

.Support vans, ferry transport, accommodation and meals

.An ADE Pro Pass (valued at over €600)

.The chance to ride alongside Bridges Academy alumni

For those already planning to attend ADE, the inclusion of a Pro Pass makes the cycle ride a practical option. Many participants also choose to have their costs covered as part of their ADE work trip, while contributing to a wider social impact.

Bridges for Music is encouraging sign-ups during its end-of-summer push, aiming to make this year’s ride its largest to date.
