Algoriddim’s djay App Expands to Virtual Reality with Meta Quest Release

Algoriddim has brought its djay software to the Meta Quest platform. This integration allows DJs to experience their craft in full virtual reality, opening up new realms of creative expression and performance.

The Meta Quest version of djay builds on the app’s earlier integration with Apple’s Vision Pro headset. Users of the VR-enabled djay app can manipulate 3D turntables and spatial audio effects using intuitive hand gestures, recreating the tactile experience of working with physical vinyl and hardware.

Besides core DJ tools, the Meta Quest djay app offers hyper-realistic virtual environments. DJs can choose a Tunnel, Space Lounge, Wall, or Desert.

Algoriddim has always been ahead, incorporating new technology into their products. As VR and AR are expected to become more common, it is almost a certainty that it will gain ground in the world of DJ tech.

The 3-day course by OTR is the perfect way to start DJ'ing from scratch. I've always loved music, but had never even touched a pair of decks. After the course though, I have the ability & tools to already create my own mixes with practice. Not only are Jay and Terry so knowledgeable about their craft, and flexible with scheduling, but they are also great fun to spend time with. My advice to anyone wishing to learn - don't waste time looking anywhere else!

I took part in the 8 week DJ course with Jay and Terry. I'm a complete beginner and probably a little older than the average starter to be honest. I picked up far more than I expected to. Both the guys are very experienced and incredibly helpful when it comes to imparting knowledge and even tailoring parts of the course to the requirements of each individual. They touched on much of the core fundamentals and delved into plenty of advanced fields as well. All in all I couldn't be happier, and once I've had time to practise and get myself up to scratch I'll definitely be back to do some one on one classes.
