Album of the week- Bloomfield-Larp OS

We love this new LP by Bloomfield on the Lobster Theramin label. Read on to find out why this Bass opus is our chosen album of the week.

The Larp OS album really stands out as a collection of original productions. 11 tracks in total, the instrumentals hark back to the creativity of early Grime and Dubstep. The deep and loud basslines hark even further back to the early days of the Windrush generation but this is not Dubstep or Grime. Each track experiments with style and tempo in a largely freeform but rhythmic manner, fusing Techno with Hip Hop, Drum and Bass and a multitude of genres and sub genres. As for our favourite track, we’re very fond of the Jungle/Garage/Grime hybrid sounds of ‘Solid.’
