Mixcloud have announced a new feature known as spotlights. The press release suggests a possible pushback against algorithmic content as it emphasizes the importance of human content curation.
The idea is that users can support their favourite DJs through this feature which allows them to pin the profiles of 10 of their favourite content creators.
Usesrs with mixcloud accounts can head to their profile and will find some pre-filled spotlights from recently listened to shows. They may choose to keep them, add to them or indeed change them according to their preferences.
