Almost 15 years ago, give or take a few months, a mysterious artist by the name of Phillip D Kick dropped a series of Footwork/Juke Jungle edits. We’re talking all timers like ‘Champion Sound’, ‘Renegade Snares’ and ‘Horizons’ among others.
The tracks were free downloads, intended as respectful reconstructions of foundational anthems. As 15 years have passed, these gems faced obscurity, tucked away on a mediafire link. The good news is On Unit got them all remastered and re-uploaded to Bandcamp and they’re still free but now available to a new audience and we think you’ll agree they sound like they were made yesterday!
