Did you know that The Universal Hip Hop Museum exists? Well it does and it’s based in the Bronx, if you want to find out more, check out this keynote webinar below

Martha Diaz, Chair of Archives, Curatorial and Educational Affairs, Universal Hip Hop Museum (UHHM) begins the keynote by taking us through a brief history of Hip Hop from an economic and cultural POV. There is a LOT to unpack here and it would be best to watch the 45min YouTube video. A few things worthy of note is the museum being born out of earlier efforts to archive the history of Hip Hop and what is being archived. The museum hosts flyers, mixtapes and other paraphernalia, all carefully curated with the artists in mind.

The UHHM offers training and education for students with a long term goal of setting up exhibitions across the globe utilising modern technology. This is worth watching for the information but also for the promotion of an entrepreneurial mindset.  While not yet open to the public, there is already a huge demand for collaborative projects. We’re hoping the UK gets a look in as this is very exciting! We will keep you updated with this initiative, in the meantime, why not share this post and let your friends know about It!
