A new year and a new DJ controller! The Rane One brings a touch of the vinyl mixing experience with motorised platters and many other battle mix orientated features.

The foremost reason for splashing out almost £1100 on this controller is of course the direct drive style platters. No 12 inches here for obvious reasons but an odd 7.2 inches as opposed to 7 inches for those dusty 45s!

As far as sound quality goes, you can expect sound akin to the Rane Seventy Two which is good news if you are already a fan. In terms of layout, the Rane One has the standard features of a Serato controller i.e 8 touch pads and the various settings that go with them. What will please potential buyers is the addition of scratch bank and a decent array of faders for cutting and scratching.

For DJs who learned their craft on vinyl or DJs who want that vinyl mixing effect, the price tag may be hefty but the Rane One ticks all those boxes. For a more indepth review, watch Mojaxx’ video review below. To buy the Rane One click here.
