Serato DJ 1.9.2 now available

Serato have released a brand new version with a focus on stability as well as important workflow and interface improvements.

Here’s what’s new:

Library improvements including updates to search and sorting, visual optimisations and Smart Crates.
Significant stability improvements and bug fixes to Serato DJ and Serato Video.
Support for the Numark Mixtrack Platinum, a 4-deck/2-channel controller. This features LCD display screens in each jog wheel for easy access to information such as BPM, key and time remaining.
All Serato DJ trials have been reset. This means if you have trialled Serato DJ or any expansion packs in the past, you can give them another crack for free.
Launched subscriptions which gives you all our Expansion Packs from USD9.99 p/month, Serato DJ for USD9.99 p/month or the Serato DJ Suite from USD14.99 p/month.

Serato DJ Intro 1.2.8 is available now

Serato DJ Intro 1.2.8 is recommended for all Serato DJ Intro users and includes support for the all new Numark Mixtrack Platinum.

The Numark Mixtrack Platinum is a 4-deck/2-channel controller which features LCD display screens in each jog wheel for easy access to information such as BPM, key and time remaining.

It comes free with Serato DJ Intro, and is Serato DJ Upgrade Ready with Serato DJ 1.9.2.

My one day DJ course was just such a laugh with Jay. It was just the right mix of technical information, learning and generally having fun and playing some of my favourite party tunes. Jay is a great teacher, very patient and answered all of my questions. I now know what an utter skill and art there is to DJing. Unfortunately, I just want to learn more now!!!

I chose "On the Rise" DJ course because of the guys that are the tutors, Mr Jay Cunningham and Mr Terry Hooligan Ryan. My 8 week course was great fun very relaxed atmosphere but serious business was taught. I learnt more that I expected and was extremely pleased with all that was on offer. I've come away with a real understanding of what it all means to get it right on various equipment. The 8 week course is perfect and is worth every penny if you listen to the tutors. I didn't know much about my Apple Mac-pro until I took it in to the class, but now I'm able to teach others how to correctly use iTunes music crates and Rekordbox and well as Serato. Brilliant. Booked a day's DJ course so our 16 year old could learn the fundamentals before blowing all her savings on some decks and more vinyl. Terry was amazing with her - very knowledgeable and enthusiastic - and she came away buzzing, having learnt to scratch, beat-match and more. I was a bit worried it was quite expensive when we signed up, but having seen the facilities and teaching now think it's actually great value. Can't recommend highly enough. Hopefully will be back for day 2 in 6 months!

PURE CLASS!!!! On the Rise DJ academy is the best! Terry and Jay are absolute legends and at the top of their game. I went to OTR with just a pure love of dance music and not a clue about DJing but wanted to learn, started at the basic level and within an hour was mixing tracks on CDJs. Starting with how tracks/music is laid out and built, then onto beat mashing, setting the pitch and how to blend tracks together. They both take the time to get to know you and the music genre you are into and carefully select tracks based around your preferences but are easy to learn with. You set the pace you want to learn at and they are experts in all aspects of the music business. They can teach you software or hardware specifics or provide unbiased advise all kit thats out their. Absolute top class!!! Could not recommend it enough whatever level your at.
