Thanks to Dance Music Archive for indexing this You Tube video edit of mid 90s TV show BPM. The show is filmed in the Labyrinth club on Dalston Lane.

The scene is set with an interview with the promoters as Ray Keith’s ‘Terrorist’ booms in the background. Between scenes of Jungle ravers dancing furiously, an interlude comes in the form of an interview with Jon of the pleased Women.

We learn the fascinating history of the UKs most famous and loved drag DJ. Jon talks about growing up in Africa as the child of missionaries and how his return to the UK drew him towards the dance scene.

We return to Labyrinth to hear from the resident DJs briefly before returning to the rave as Kemet Crew ‘The Box’ blasts across the dance floor. Perhaps as a testament to the diversity of the UK dance scene, the video comes to an end with a Mr Roy Eurodance remake of the old BBC Cricket theme. Some might consider it a bit ‘cheesy’ but the Eurodance style remains popular to this day. Watch the video below and decide for yourself.
